Many malicious programs alter your Internet connection and change your browser settings. The function of restoring browser settings is one of the most frequently used functions in our anti-malware tools.
Gridinsoft Anti-Malware is a powerful anti-malware program that provides comprehensive protection against all types of malware, including viruses, trojans, spyware, adware, and more. Its advanced algorithms and heuristics allow it to detect and remove even the most sophisticated malware in real-time.
Malware is today's realities in the world of viruses. For many years our programs have been the second line of defense, an addition to the arsenal of the best antiviruses. Today's threats always take the form of malware. Therefore, anti-malware programs have become the best protection and have moved on a par with antiviruses. With on-run protection and a network traffic protection module in your arsenal, you don't have to look for something else.
Such low requirements continue after the launch as well. The program is not resource-hungry at all and can easily coexist with other antivirus and anti-malware programs. At least they were never conflicting on my path. Sparing resource consumption is also great for systems with HDD, which are distinctive by speed. However, as with any other antivirus, the program will use a lot of your CPU time and disk speed during the scan. It is inevitable, as otherwise, the scan may take much longer.
Gridinsoft Anti-Malware offers a basic functionality for a modern anti-malware program. It has a row of options for on-demand scanning and some for proactive system protection. Scans differ by the places they check and the time needed to accomplish them. Clicking the Custom scan option, however, calls for a window where you should specify which folder or archive you want the program to check.
Other settings, hidden under the General tab, allow to change the program launch and scanning behaviour. Depending on the parameters set, you can enable or disable starting the program with the system, and performing a chosen scan on the startup. Those are pretty trivial for pretty much any anti-malware software.
Gridinsoft Anti-Malware is a great choice for users who want to have reliable anti-malware protection without dozens of add-on functions. Affordable prices together with high efficiency and low resource consumption make it exceptionally versatile. For low-end or obsolete systems, it may be a go-to option, and for powerful systems, it will have even better performance.

Malwarebytes (formerly Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, abbreviated as MBAM) is an anti-malware software for Microsoft Windows,[6] macOS, ChromeOS, Android, and iOS that finds and removes malware.[7] Made by Malwarebytes Corporation, it was first released in January 2006. This is available in a free version, which scans for and removes malware when started manually, and a paid version, which additionally provides scheduled scans, real-time protection and a flash-memory scanner.
Malwarebytes is primarily a scanner that scans and removes malicious software, including rogue security software, adware, and spyware. Malwarebytes scans in batch mode, rather than scanning all files opened, reducing interference if another on-demand anti-malware software is also running on the computer.[8][9]
I have an ASUS notebook computer running Windows 8.1. I've been having a lot of trouble with malware (tons of pop-ups interfering with internet/browser use), including something called cwu.thunderyswinger.com. A google search said GridinSoft Anti-malware would take care of the problem. I installed and ran GridinSoft and it located 51 "bad" files and it recommended deleting some and moving others to quarantine (I don't know what that means). I told it to go ahead and "fix now" and it went through and did its thing with 25 of the files, then it asked me to pay to register for their service before it would finish "fixing". I tried to pay, but I got an error message that said "There is no internet connection" Now, I can't connect to the internet, even though my computer says my wifi is connected. I get the same message whether I'm using Google Chrome (my main browser) or Explorer. Obviously, I'm sending this note from another computer. Please help! I need to get the malware off my computer (suggestions of which anti-malware I should use would be greatly appreciated). But, first, I need to be able to connect to the internet! Thanks for any help you can give.
