Hi, I am puzzled as to where I should find the registration code for my trial of Vegas Pro. I did this:
- I launched the software
- clicked on yellow button - Start Trial Version
- then was prompted to register, so clicked Register Now button
- was taken to a website where I created an account
- received a welcome email from Magix and also an email that I successfully registered Vegas Pro 15
- and this is where I am stuck as neither the email, nor my account have any codes i could use to run the trial
also if i do end up having to reinstall it i have a lot of files and stuff on it that id want to keep, would they all get deleted once vegas is? would i still be able to access and open them? i tried googling it and looking up solutions to it but none of it works for me!
I recently purchased Vegas Pro 18, and registered my serial numbers with my account on MAGIX website. I followed the instructions and installed the products that came with the package. When i go to launch Vegas Pro 18 i quickly get a message stating Error code: -5 I do not have a license to run this application. I cannot seem to find any fix for this anywhere online, nor can i find anything about this error code. There is no place which i can find for me to enter in any information about my product code or serial number into the application Vegas Pro, only on the website. Ive tried reinstalling the products again, but i got the same out come. Any help would be great.
2) Not sure I understand. What I wanted was a time code that runs from zero to the end of the time line. My understanding is that if you add the Video FX time code to the timeline media, it goes back to zero at the beginning of each new event.
I am no Canon expert but my son just bought a EOS 80D and shot video with it. I synced his video with mine from my Sony Z5U video camera in Sony Vegas. When I pulled his files into my session, the clock time at the beginning of each clip was listed in the clips list. So the camera does record at least the start time of each clip if not the entire STMPE time code. It was not an exact match with my Sony Z5U camera's time code but close enough that I could fine tune it pretty easily. I suggest pulling a clip into your editor and taking a closer look. I am guessing you will find the start time of the clip listed.
The file can't be played, so there's no preview available, sound or peaks, nothing. I even tried to play the file in other player but it doesn't work in Windows. But, when i return to the Ubuntu environment, the file can be played without any problem. The problem lies basically on the codecs of the video generated by Kazam, Kazam's codecs are quite straight forward (H.264). To easiest way to solve this issue is to re-encode the MP4 file/or other format again into MP4 but with FFMPEG using the regular libx264 codec.
Sony Vegas is pretty picky with H.264 (AVC) files and it refuses to accept files produced with default settings, however converting your files with the previous command will do the trick and vegas will accept the file.

We did some research and found out that there are a few common reasons that could trigger the Vegas Pro error code 59 which reads An error starting Vegas Pro. There is no License to use this software:
