With the recent login adaptation of Swisscom login, I was prompted to enter a code, which is sent to my bluewin email address (my username), in order to login. As there was no way to login and read the code (which I needed to login), and forgetting that I could login with my mobile number (thus received the code via SMS), I followed the instructions to create a new username and password, using a third-party email address (so I can receive the login code).
Step 8: Select IMAP . Scroll down to Incoming Mail Server and enter all the relevant details, then do the same for Outgoing Mail Server, as in the screen below and then select Next.
- Ensure that User Name is the full email address. User Name & Password are the same for both Incoming & Outgoing servers.
- Incoming Mail Server Host Name is imaps.bluewin.ch
- Outgoing Mail Server Host Name is smtpauths.bluewin.ch
Step 4: Complete the settings as follows and click Sign In
- Email Address & User Name: Your full BLUEWIN.CH email address
- Password: Your BLUEWIN.CH password
- Account Type is IMAP or POP according to preference (IMAP is the default).
- Incoming Mail Server Host Name for BLUEWIN.CH is imaps.bluewin.ch
- Outgoing Mail Server Host Name for BLUEWIN.CH is smtpauths.bluewin.ch
- For domains still in transfer or propagation, temporarily use the IP Address in place of Incoming & Outgoing Mail Server
- Ignore Unable to verify account name or password
Step 4: You will need to enter the following information, Choose IMAP or POP. Here we choose IMAP.
- Your name : Type your name. This is the name of the sender in email messages that you send from this account
- Email address : Full BLUEWIN.CH email address
- Password : Email account password
- Incoming Mail Server Host Name for BLUEWIN.CH is imaps.bluewin.ch
Step 5: You will need to enter the following information and then click Click here for advanced receiving options
- Choose an account name. This will be the name of the account in Microsoft Entourage.
- Enter your Name. This is the name that others will see when receiving your mail.
- Enter your E-mail address. This will be your full BLUEWIN.CH email address.
- Enter your full BLUEWIN.CH e-mail address as the Account ID.
- Incoming(IMAP) mail server : imaps.bluewin.ch
- Enter the e-mail account\'s Password.
