When I play back video clips with mono audio tracks in the source monitor they only play back on one side...as soon as I move them into the timeline they play back with no issues (center). I have a feeling it's a simple setting somewhere.. maybe mono audio in the source panel has to be assigned to a stereo channel....I tried resetting Premiere to default settings by holding down the option key while launching which didn't solve the issue.

I tried to 'modify' a clip by choosing- 'audio channels' and changing 'clip channel format' from mono to stereo and that solved the issue on one clip (it now plays back in the center of the sound picture when I play back in the source panel) and in the 'modify clip' window I now see both a 'left' and a 'right' on Media Source Channel 1 .....but do I really have to do that to every clip? There must be a general setting I'm missing somewhere.

If sound is coming out only one side, then most likely it's not a mono file, but a stereo file with audio on only one channel. You do need to handle such media to get the sound 'centered'. Two common methods are to Modify the clips or to use the Fill track effects.

What really confuses me is that I have worked with the same camera in different projects on the same computer (with the same version Premiere) for the last three weeks and when I have imported clips (all with mono audio) it has played back in the source panel just fine. This has let me to believe that I by mistake must have hit an import setting...

Assuming you are recording sound in your camera with a built in mic ( or a little boom mic mounted to your camera and plugged into a mini stereo plug of your camera called "mic" ).. you are using ONE microphone. That is MONO. You may put your camera audio settings on a setting that says, " 2 channels " instead of mono. That means the same exact MONO sound goes to a left and right channel (what some people think is 'stereo' ). It is mono on 2 tracks and you can hear it coming out of a left and right speaker system when played back. It imports to PPro as a stereo soundtrack.

The problem was when I tried recording in audacity it would only record the left side, and the right side was not recording. I found out that windows 10 has a separate link to download because the solo had a problem with ASIO. I fixed this problem and now am able to record my voice on both left and right. Now, when I playback the track, I can only hear the audio on the right side.

Then nothing until the end of the call. When the SIP extension leaves the conference, the call ends, and the call ended when this extension left so there is connection between the SIP extension and the server, but there is no audio on the SIP side.

Is there any way to force the audio to play from both channels? I export my video and when I listen in headphones the audio only comes out of one side. I tried just copying the audio and pasting it on track 2 but that didn't seem to work. Thanks!

Most laptops have audio-adapters with auto-sensing jacks. That means that they can detect when headphones are plugged in and can then relay that to the software which can perform different actions such as cutting the sound to the internal speakers.

When you plug earphones into the laptop, you continue to hear the audio in mono mode, and thus only through a single channel. What you need to do is to switch to stereo mode. Fortunately this tends to be extremely easy to do.

Conversely, you should also adjust the volume when pulling the plug out to switch the laptop back into mono mode because while you may not even notice it most of the time, you may be missing some audio from having only one side being played through the single internal speaker.

It turns out the volume of the right speaker was really low so I couldn't hear anything in that side unless I really turned up the laptop's volume. I just increased the volume in that side until it was the same with the left speaker.

On my Desktop audio randomly started only going out one ear, well it goes out both but the left is half the volume. I use KDE so I balanced the audio in settings ( ) but it hasn't fixed it, the headphones work perfectly fine on my laptop (also running arch with KDE). The headphones also work on my computer when I plug them in (at a guess this is because this makes them show up as a different device)

Anyhow I had moved house recently and do not currently have the amp or soundsystem and was planning on using the Bravia Speakers via MY PC connected HDMI . OUt of habbit I connected the PC to the HDMI ARC port , thats when I noticed something strange . When connecting to the ARC HDMI port , the audio would only go through to the left side TV Speaker . When I connect the same HDMI cable into a different port , the audio comes through both sides

I have got the TV insured so can get it repaired/replaced , however I am not sure if this is standard behaviour when when using the ARC port for video and audio signal . I did not want to go through the pain of replacement . repair if this is a software bug or a connectivty issue

I have the same problem man. I tried contacting Apple but apparently the only thing I can do is BUY A NEW PAIR, and return the last. Which, to me is senseless and terrible customer consideration. When you spend nearly $300 on a pair of headphones, you expect a certain quality. Needless to say, Apple has more glitches than they can keep up with. Im extremely disappointed.

I have a Streaming Stick+ remote. It has two audio buttons on the right side. One is a toggle to raise or lower the volume, and the other is a mute button. I use external speakers with a receiver. Those buttons cannot control the receiver. I hold the remote in my right hand, and it is very difficult not to press the side audio buttons without meaning to. Each time I do it, I get an error message from my Sony TV because it thinks I'm trying to control the Sony's internal speakers. I am sick of seeing the error message. Is there a way to disable the buttons? Thanks.

Having the volume controls on the side is a design issue, I am always accidentally touching the buttons just by picking up the remote. Sometimes if it is on the couch beside me the remote can get pushed and the volume changes or goes mute. Frustrating. Do the designers of the remote even use them. The buttons should be on the top with all the other buttons.

I went to record something and when I played it back while it was connected to my car bluetooth speaker I noticed it was only outputting audio on the left side, so I tested it on the phone, and (while its harder to tell on the phone) the same thing happened there. So I went into pro mode, and noticed the screenshot below:

I had a similar issue with my S10+ where it the right channel would only record very low pitch audio, but I've only had this phone for a couple months and I am encountering a similar major issue. It doesn't matter whether i select omni, front, or rear.

First, they include advanced automation MIDI control capabilities (all response curves can be fully customized). Used together with one of our analysis tools or a MIDI controller, these plug-ins let you remotely control and automate the gain of each channel of the audio signal, wherever they reside in the signal path.

The package provides a single channel (mono or stereo) as well as a dual channel version with mid/side capabilities for independent control of the left and right or mid and side channels. It can be very useful for stereo widening/narrowing your stereo tracks.Note: Additional information about stereo widening with mid/side processing can be found in our M/S processing paper.

The end result of this process is audio that, even at its best, sounds more like the muffled sound of adults in the Peanuts cartoons. But by using machine learning and training Side Eye on certain words and audio, Fu is able to extract a lot of information.

We are facing an issue with crackling audio from Teams user to external(SIP trunk -->Cisco--> PTSN), audio from External to Team side is perfect. This issue is with all the users and no media transcoding is configured on Ribbon SBC and it uses the default. is there any specific setting that needs to be done on the Cisco side for transcoding the audio.

One of the most popular vehicles to buy these days is called a side-by-side. This is also known as a UTV or ATV, and we at Prestige Car Audio & Marine know them well. This gives you and some buddies a vehicle where you can tear up the countryside safely and have more fun than you would ever have in a normal 44 pickup. Life is good.

What can make owning a side-by-side even more fun? A great-sounding audio system, of course! Imagine this scenario: You have just spent the last few hours having the time of your life on your favorite trails. You insert some of your favorite music, loud and clear, with the bass pumping. Life just got better.

But here what else to consider. Think about all of the dust, dirt, water and grime your vehicle experiences during a normal outing. Couple all that with all of the shock and vibration from going over rough terrain. What that means to you are two very important things. You need products that can take the abuse of life in a side-by-side. And you need an installation that is designed to keep the products securely mounted with connections designed to last.

Prestige Car Audio & Marine is up to the challenge. Our team has spent decades designing and installing marine audio systems that are considered the finest in Louisiana. We have taken all of our knowledge and expertise, and are applying it to the side-by-side market.

Custom fabrication is more the norm than the exception on a side-by-side, so you want a shop that has a full fabrication facility and capable installers to give you a great-looking, reliable installation.
