The ETCnomad dongles unlock sACN and Art-Net output from the Hog 4 PC, as well as allowing the Gadget II to be used to distribute DMX via USB.. As long as your Gateways speak sACN, you should be fine.

They by-passed the dongle and set up the Steinberg Activation Manager for me.

I have the same experience. I tried the Apple USB audio dongle, and while there is a headphone symbol shown in the title bar, no audio is emitted and an Android USB OTG application indicates no device connected. I personally would love the USB adudio working as well.
Yes but i just made a post where i run usb_modeswitch and get error, I have just read that there Dongles that are not Voice enabled from Factory, for example the earlier Dongle I would get normal call tone once its connected to the Computer but for this thats not the case. Probably the voice part of the dongle has been locked by your provider. Did you buy the dongle from your cellphone provider? If so, it is very possible that the voice part is locked. There are programs to unlock it, but you will have to do some reading.
You need to unlock the voice part. Search google for your dongle model, try to find a voice enabled firmware for it, be sure to double check it is the appropriate firmware for your dongle model and version.

We are having a Dell T-105 Server and installed Windows-XP Professional Operating system . This server is not having a parallel port . But , as we are having a parallel port Dongle, we added a parallel port card on PCI slot of the server. But as the dongle is placed on a parallel port and as soon as we start the software installation process , the system goes in a continuous loop of rebooting. ( Please not that parallel port is working fine as it is checked with parallel port printer. )And we are not able to proceed further for software product installation.How to make dongle and Server compatible with each other .
We have been in contact with Cadence Support but we were told that , either PC with in built parallel port is to be used or convert the existing parallel port dongle to the USB one....& Parallel port card that too inserted in PCI slot wont work....
Any help in this regard will be appreciated....

Well they make sales from the software because you still need to buy that for it to work. I have a Denon piece of gear not a Sound Switch hardware (even though Im prob going to get the SS controler) But I really think the Dj hardware should function with 3rd party dongles. Restrictions are stupid.
The dongle comes also with a 3 month SS subscription. Therefore not the worst deal actually. Maybe it should be open to any, but i know that certain dongles dont work the same. Tried different with the freeware QFC and not all worked well. Therefore to have multiple dongle to test your software on the standalone mode would be increased testing effort. SS really works well and if the price is a limited amount of dongles, im fine.
I have installed some Ruuvi tags to my trailer to work with the Cerbo GX for temp and humidity data collection. It is recommended to use a USB Bluetooth Dongle for better comunication with the Ruuvi tags so I purchased one of the recommended BT dongles (TP-Link 400xx). I have inserted this into one of the USB ports on the Cerbo but I'm not sure whether Cerbo is using this USB dongle or its internal BT. I have dug into the settings but failed to see a menu where I can switch from the internal BT to the external one.
I also purchased a TP-Link UB400 without any mention of the (UN) because like you I could not find a (UN) variant to use with my Mopeka sensors. There are 2 6mm thick steel plates between my LPG bottles and the Cerbo GX and the connection was very poor, kept dropping out and reading the wrong level. With the TP-Link UB400 closer to the LPG bottles than the Cerbo GX I get a permanent connection that is always accurate, therefore I conclude that this dongle works OK.
Count me as one NOT having issues. The internal bluetooth works until ambient temp around Cerbo gets up to 100 degrees F. I am also running a TP-Link UB400 and it is showing up under Bluetooth adapters. I haven't had any hot days so not sure if the dongle will pick up when the internal shuts down. No way to force the internal to shut down that I know of.
Initially I did it using the Intel M2 wifi module in the dev kit carrier version, no issues whatsoever, but since the avermedia model does not have this port available I thought about using a USB dongle to set up the AP. I have my wifi router and Raspberry Pi (home Assistant and Zigbee stick) attached to an on-line Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). Mine is too small to add 2 hours though even if I just had a USB/dongle. It is really just a big power bank though.
A USB power supply and a dongle-p/e with alternative firmware is another option to attach to a UPS but with a voltage transformation from 230V to 5V and then 3.3V for the PCB seem likely to me to be less efficient than a direct 230V to 3.3V.

I just got the Apalis Evaluation board, I connected a USB wifi dongle to one of the ports and the wifi worked on the board and everything was fine, now the next day , turning it on and the wifi dongle is not detected anymore, I tried re-plugging to different ports, restarting, testing with a different dongle, but nothing changes.
This is just a lie, you can absolutely pair a new USB dongle with the mouse, as it is stated in the manual. Moreover, we tried with a colleague of mine who had the exact same mouse (model A7852M), and it worked perfectly !
