MISP 2.4.18 has been released today and includes novel functionalities to ease sharing of
indicators and threats:
- A delegation option has been added in order to help organization willing
to share indicators without disclosing their organization. How to use it?
It's damn simple. Create your events with the indicators as you would do and
set the distribution for your organization only. Then when you have finished
creating the event along with the indicators, you can delegate the publishing
of the event to another trusted organization of your choice.
The other organization will take over the new event and only the delegated
organization will be mentioned. You can see this option as a pseudo-anonymous
way to delegate the sharing of your indicators. It's an attractive approach to
share and still benefit from participating in a MISP community.
- A dashboard component has been added in MISP. This element allows MISP users
to directly identify what's changed since their last visit including events, proposal
and event delegation.
- An innovative upgrade process is now included in MISP 2.4.18 allowing an automatic
update of the data format for any future enhancement. This grants a simple way to add
new functionalities to be integrated in MISP without requiring the site administrator
to perform upgrading scripts. This will allows to include new features in a faster fashion.
Again, we would like to thank all the users who use the MISP platform, found and reported
bugs, contributed patches and comments to improve MISP.
Thank you very much and happy sharing.
