CT transit will use these funds to acquire 46 battery-electric buses and install 29 chargers for the fastrak bus rapid transit service. The grant will also cover the cost of installing 25 depot chargers at the Hartford facility, four on-route chargers at the CT fastrak New Britain Station, and the required electrical infrastructure. This initiative is backed by over $17 million in matching state funds and $30 million from federal formula funds.
This milestone represents a monumental leap towards Governor Lamont's objective of transitioning the entire statewide public transportation bus fleet from diesel to zero-emission models by 2035. It's a testament to our collective commitment and the potential for a greener future.

For the 12:30 a.m. lineup, the buses will not depart until all lineup service buses have arrived and riders have had a chance to transfer to other buses. Because several buses may line up behind each other, it is important to look for your bus anywhere along the block. VIA supervisors and bus operators will be happy to help you locate the bus you need.
VIA PRMO DURING LINEUP
Prmo 100 uses Market and Commerce Streets traversing Downtown and does not pass the line-up staging areas (Travis Park). Prmo 100 inbound service arrives downtown several minutes before the line-up times of 10:30 p.m, 11:30 p.m., and 12:30 a.m. with connections possible at Centro Plaza and the assigned Prmo 100 bus stop locations on Dolorosa/Market Street.
Prmo 100 outbound service will pass through several minutes after the line-up buses have departed with connections possible on the assigned Prmo 100 bus stop locations on Commerce and at Centro Plaza.
The timetables are communicated by the transport company.
Often may not be accurate for intermediate stops, due to traffic and overcrowding on the buses.
We therefore advise you not to rely on buses for connections with trains and planes.
From May to October there are always long waits for buses, especially from Positano to Sorrento during the afternoon.
The schedule refers to the current season and is updated based on the timetables published by the Sita bus company. The timetable isn't particularly easy to understand, so take a look at the legend below to help you interpret the schedules. Buses that travel from Sorrento to the Amalfi Coast depart from the Sorrento train station. We suggest boarding the bus there to find an available seat, as buses fill up fast along the route. Buses depart on time, but may be delayed along the route due to heavy traffic. During the busy summer months, it can be difficult to board the bus in Positano to return to Sorrento, as the buses often depart from Amalfi already at capacity so there is no room for additional passengers waiting at intermediate stops along the route.
Below you'll find all the information you need!
The best option for a stress-free arrival: book a private transfer.
A convenient alternative for getting around on the Amalfi Coast is the ferry that runs from April through October.
Bus tickets are sold at "tabaccherie" (cigarette shops), newspaper stands, and bars and caffs in all the towns along the Amalfi Coast. In Sorrento, there is a ticket booth at the Circumvesuviana station. Tickets CANNOT be purchased on board the bus.
COSTIERASITA 24 hours: EUR 12 with unlimited rides on SITA SUD buses between the towns listed above and also valid for local buses running in the Comune di Positano via Mobility Amalfi Coast.
For routes to and from other towns and destinations in the region of Campania (Naples, Caserta, Benevento, and Avellino), travellers can use tickets issued by each single bus or transport company, or a combination ticket combining connections with more than one bus or transport company. Request detailed information and prices at the ticket office.
There is no train route which runs along the Amalfi Coast, so the only public transportation by land is the bus. There are also ferry routes which run in the summer, stopping at Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Salerno. Ferry tickets are more expensive than bus tickets, but ferries are a very pleasant way to travel the coast.
