Plowing the Field

We have begun work in a little village south of Piedras Negras. Most
of the men in this village work out on the ranches and the culture is
mainly agrarian. We have visited the area and begun to distribute
evangelistic materials. A mission team from the Hill Country is
planning to come help us in a few weeks. They plan to offer a Bible
club for the children and a class for the ladies during the day. They
also hope to offer a class in the evening for the men. Please begin
to pray that God would soften hearts to the gospel, that we would have
an open door to minister, and that souls will be saved.

We are praying to establish a church in this community and hope that
our efforts this summer will allow us to do so in the fall. We are
breaking new ground and it will be a hard row to hoe. There is much
work to be done and we need great prayer support. We are facing
spiritual opposition and our family has come under attack. This is
nothing new, we are used to it; but it is still a trial and we
appreciate your prayers and support.
