For Memorial Day this year, we were happy to have a group from
Louisiana bring a trailer load of care bags that we were able to
distribute in Mexico. Several churches in Louisiana participated by
gathering bags of beans, rice, and candy for several months. They
collated and bagged together over three-hundred family packs.

At our first stop in Piedras Negras, we visited a very poor community;
it did not take long for a crowd to gather. I interpreted for Br.
Louis Charrier, as he preached the gospel of Jesus Christ. With each
packet distributed, we gave a gospel tract. This may be a good area to
consider for a church plant.

We were also able to visit Bethesda Home for the Disabled and give
them larger bags of food to help with their ministry. To complete the
trip, we went to Bethesda Baptist Church and distributed the rest of
the family packs from that location. Many of the people who came were
poorer members of Br. Paulino Esquivel's church, but many others were
not. Br. Paulino had an opportunity to meet them and present the
gospel of Christ to them and he will be following up on those contacts
during the coming weeks.

Pray for those who were ministered to, that they will believe the word
of testimony given to them and receive salvation.
