to Misiones 5 Manantiales
Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support. All praise and
honour and glory belongs to the most High God, to our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. He is absolutely amazing and beyond our comprehension.
I hope you will read this through to the end, because that is where
the blessing will be.

Mexico is still extremely dangerous and unstable. Violence continues
to reign in Mexico and there is little hope of any resolution. Spill
over violence into our border towns does not officially exist, as our
government does not want it to exist, so it obviously must not exist,
officially. However, unofficially, violence in the border cities is a
reality, war has crossed our borders; yet as a nation we are more
concerned with fabricated wars across the ocean than with reality at
home. I apologize for this soap-box rant, however it bothers me that
many Americans are more concerned with entertainment, with sports
strikes and reality television, than with the state of this nation and
the conditions south of the border.

More and more missionaries are leaving the field of Mexico as a result
of the violence. Just recently, a missionary couple in Piedras Negras
(across from Eagle Pass) made a huge donation of materials to our
church. They are leaving Mexico, after just a few years, and moving
to Arizona. Many missionaries have come back to the border and hope
to one day go back into Mexico, others have left permanently. The
mass exodus of missionaries out of Mexico is not being talked about.
There are normally many mission teams that cross into Mexico each
year. For the past several years those groups have gradually
decreased; but this year, we saw a dramatic decrease. Additionally,
several teams who have crossed over for years, and were undaunted by
recent events, attempted to enter Mexico taking needed supplies to
pastors and churches. However, they were turned around at the port of
entry and not allowed to enter with those supplies.

In the midst of these events, God opened a door and created a
network. One of the mission teams, which was turned around, left a
van load of things that we were able to cross into Mexico, a little at
a time. They also left with me two boxes of materials and told me
that they could provide more if we could get them into Mexico. I
opened the boxes and was absolutely amazed.

The first box, the Pastor's Pack (all materials in Spanish), contained
a hard-back Thompson Chain Reference Bible, a Strong's Exhaustive
Concordance, a "Manual for Christian Workers", a Bible Dictionary, a
Complete Bible Atlas, Biblical Doctrines Vol. 1 & 2, an Illustrated
Bible Manual, and "New Evidence That Demands a Verdict" by Josh
McDowell.

The second box, DVD Bible Courses (all materials in Spanish),
contained video lessons on Genesis (18 DVDs), Acts (13 DVDs), 1 Peter
(2 DVDs), 2 Peter (2 DVDs), Galatians (4 DVDs), Colossians (4 DVDs),
Ephesians (7 DVDs), Revelation (9 DVDs), I Timothy (3 DVDs), 2 Timothy
(2 DVDs), Titus (1 DVD), Philippians (4 DVDs), Hebrews (6 DVDs),
Romans (7 DVDs), Life After Death (2 DVDs), Bible Conference 1 (3
DVDs), Bible Conference 2 (2 DVDs), Happy Home (4 DVDs), Salvation
Messages (7 DVDs), and also 3 copies each of Spanish New Testaments,
"I'm Saved Now What" DVD, & Tracts.

This is absolutely a God send. That mission team being turned around
at the border and coming to my house was ordained of God. These
materials were given free of charge by Word of Truth, a ministry in
Madisonville, Texas. That first box of materials would take a pastor
years to save up for and purchase; but many times, even if a pastor
had the money, those books would not be readily available at book
stores in Mexico. The second box, DVD Bible Courses, is not (to my
knowledge) available from any other source, and certainly not free of
charge. A pastor with these resources available is able to start a
Bible Institute in his church, and he is able to train up young men to
be Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers.

During the past few months, we have been able to get that set, the
Pastor's Pack and DVD Bible Courses, into the hands of five pastors in
Northern Coahuila, including Br. Pelayo and Br. Esquivel, and we hope
to get more of these sets into Mexico during the coming months. I am
expecting five more sets to arrive soon. Please pray for Word of
Truth, as they assemble more materials, pray for people to give to
their ministry to provide these materials, and please continue to pray
for us, for our financial support to continue, as we get these
materials into Mexico and into the hands of the only people who will
be able to make a difference in Mexico.

The only hope for Mexico is Jesus Christ. There is no hope in the
governments of Mexico and the US, nor in NATO or the UN; collectively,
they cannot bring peace to this war torn nation, they cannot resolve
the issues, they have no hope for the people of Mexico. The only hope
for Mexico is for the Prince of Peace to raise up an army of national
(i.e. Mexican) evangelists, pastors, and teachers to spread the gospel
and disciple believers. The drug cartel leaders do not need to be
reformed, they need to be saved.

The only hope for Mexico is Jesus Christ. Please pray for our
brothers and sisters in Mexico who are having to live through these
horrific events. Please pray for the pastors to have courage and to
lead their people and encourage them. Please pray for the Lord of the
Harvest to raise up and send forth labours from within Mexico, pray
for a national revival, and pray for the safety of those left on the
border who are still trying to make a difference.

Humbly yours,
Daniel & D'Ann White
