The Rock Elm Meteorite structure is the remnant of an impact that
occurred more than 430 million years ago.
The lecturer, William Cordua, is a geology professor from University
of Wisconsin-River Falls.
The lecture will take place on October 5, 2009, at 7:30pm in room
CS-3-210 of the Electrical Engineering/Computer Science building on
the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis campus. A map and directions
are available at
http://www.tc.umn.edu/~smith213/mapto.htm.
It is also common for high school students to attend the MGS lectures
for extra credit points, so even if you can't attend, you might know
someone who might benefit.
