Is there any interest in either Tekumel RPGs or miniatures amongst the
membership? I'm getting the game room set up for both a Friday and a
Saturday RPG session, to be held the second and fourth days of the
month, and I'm looking for input on miniatures events. Any comments or
suggestions would be welcome!

Is everyone out for the holidays, or shall I assume that there's no
interest in what's on offer? :)

Happy New Year!
Is it just January or every month hereafter? Are they one-off sessions
to learn the game and see if we like it, or a long-running campaign you're
setting up? I'd be interested in one or two single sessions to get
acquainted with the game, but I can't commit to a long-term campaign.

Thanks for your reply! In answer to your questions, I am looking at
adding a Friday evening RPG session on the second and fourth Fridays
of each month if there's enough interest; the Saturday RPG group will
continue to run on it's normal schedule of the second and fourth
Saturdays. People are welcome to drop by to sample the Tekumel world-
setting, and see if they like it; if they do, then they will be
welcome to stay for as long as they wish.
The Saturday group, which has been running since the summer of 2004,
has sixteen players; roughly nine to ten show up for games, and I am
able to bring people in and out of the action as needed to accommodate
their individual schedules. Both the group and I do not expect people
to make it to every session; one of our players can only show up once
every few months, for example, and some of the 'guest' players only
show up once a year. As some people have asked about a different time
slot for games, I thought that adding a Friday evening game would be
the simplest way to handle this. Some of the Saturday players may
migrate over to Fridays, and some may play in both; it all depends on
the interest people have.
Please feel free to ask more questions, too!

Thanks for your reply!
My guess is that the Friday group will become an on-going campaign;
the Saturday group has been running since 2004, so I'd expect the
Friday group to work the same way. Longevity seems to be the norm for
my Tekumel RPg groups; the previous incarnations lasted twenty
years...
While we do play miniatures quite often as part of the RPG sessions,
the specifically miniatures events we do will always be announce in
advance, with about a three-month lead time due to the booking cycle
of our usual venue. Again, with these, we're working on setting up
events so that there are both longer and shorter games so that people
can simply drop by and play for a while, or stay for a longer game.
