Sort of. I confess to not having checked here for notices for a long
time because of the lack of activity / participation.
re: the gamedays
I've been at The Source the past two months and the attendance -aside
from my kids and their friends (a couple photos of the games in
December can be seen at
http://s575.photobucket.com/albums/ss191/brawlfactory/Geek%20Partnership%20Society/Dec%2012th%20-%20Penguins%20and%20Space%20Marines/)
- has been negligable. Still, since I put up the posters in the store
I'll keep showing up as much as I can: I'll be there today with some
stuff...dunno if Elliot will be there...but will miss next month (will
be in DesMoines for a Con).
re: the group
I've not delved into it enough to have much authority attached to my
opinion, but it seems to be that as long as the gaming branch is
separated from the main Geek organization (I can't post announcements
of the gamedays to the geek page nor place anything on their calender -
it may be possible, but I'm sort of a computer-klutz, so...) then I
don't see it has having much of a future. For all I know there may be
plenty of people in the main group that would stop in for an hour or
so on a Sunday afternoon but don't simply because they don't know
anything is going on? dunno...Like I said: I've not 'rolled up my
sleeves' and really worked for it, so my observations may simply be
the result of a self-fullfilling prophecy.
I'm still willing to bring/run things to the event and do what I can
to promote it, but my past efforts haven't seemed to work much, and
I'm not sure (being 30+ miles out of town) I'm really a good candidate
for taking the reins.
