There it is folks. The ridiculous has now become reality. My wife thinks I'm "over-reacting", which, I admit, sometimes I do. But I can't wrap my brain around this one. If this had come up in a hollywood plot for some stupid B movie I would have lost my suspense of disbelief.
But this is a real bill, passed by our real Congress, and entered into the real record. Unfriggin believable.
You and I will have to live with this so called "Act". For years we have been sitting by in disbelief, or in ignorant bliss, while Congress passed unintelligible legislation and wondered what they were up to. But today, we know. Today we know with certainty, that they don't know what they are doing.
When I get up in the morning, I know what it is I'm going to do today. I know who it's going to effect, and why it's going to effect them. I know how I'm going to do what I do, and I know what to call it. I don't think it is over-reacting to be upset that my Congress is so inept, and so incapable of representing me or any of my neighbors, that they can actually vote for something we all know they never read, never understood, and never even named.
I'm officially declaring my independence from this house of clowns. Today, August 12, 2010 is Deefburger Independence Day.
