The year 2000 was a long time ago. I was still young, the WTC was
still standing...

Not that long ago.

They've spoiled it all with concrete barricades.

Then there was the flood on the Red Hill expressway that happened a
couple of hours after we passed it, arriving from Buffalo. Several
cars drove into the water in the dark, and dozens of nearby homes were
flooded out.

They called it a hundred year storm, since it was immediately followed
by another hundred year storm.
