1) The Dow is not an acronym; if you want to use an acronym, refer to
the DJIA.
2) When the Dow _falls_, it is not _failing_. It's doing what it's
supposed to do; providing an index of industrial stocks.

Gawd.

so when that index is lower it's no different than if it's higher?

that would make it rather meaningless as an index, no?

but thanks for educating moi on the minutia of the financial
vernacular.

i always equate references to the Dow with the DJIA.

i imagine i'm not alone in that semantic understanding.

sorry for incorrectly "capitalizing" a word/name that like Dow.

in any case, who do you think really wants the American economy to
fail?

Obama or Limbaugh?

or both?

you never answered the spirit of the question.

Neither wants the Dow to fall. Both would like to blame it on someone
else when it does fall.

It's "minutiae", not minutia.

wrong answer.

Limbaugh wants it to fail.

Obama does not.

Limbaugh is contempt-mongering asshole who benefits greatly from
massive problems.

Obama is NOT a contempt-mongering asswipe.

and he was handily winning his bid for the presidency long before the
financial collapse began (due to eight grueling years of Rush's
party's irresponsible self-serving fraud-enabling failure policies).

I don't think he was. There was a point where he was close to even
with McCain, and it looked like it might be close, although that
turned out to be his low point.

Obama benefits from a rapid recovery, but not so rapid it can't be
attributed to his policies.

Limbaugh benefits from a Democratic presidency, regardless. At least
as long as the government doesn't suppress him.
