the most tears of joy ever cried in America

how much did you weep?

be honest, now.

let's face it, more men cried last night in the US alone than when
Boston won the world series.

and worldwide?

easily, a record number of tears rolled down a record number of
cheeks.

meanwhile, W feverishly began another record-breaking endeavor:

the longest pardon list ever written by an outgoing president, king,
dictator, or other chief executive.

anyway, say goodbye to excessive Fear, and Greed, and Stupidity...

and say hello to Peace, Love, and Understanding!

it's a new America.

and a new world.

Exceptionally disappointed in San Francisco voters, though.

With Obama, Prop 8 (and eleven other state propositions), twenty-two
city measures and assorted supervisor/congresscritter/&c. decisions, the
Registrar says

of the 477,651 registered voters,
237,843 ballots were cast.

49.79%.

That's pathetic, and doesn't even take into account those folks who
couldn't be bothered even to register, let alone vote.
