well rested.

bullshit that feeds your mind.
wind that blows.
a flower that grows.
a dream that shows.
how asleep you are.

another Friday that looks very much like Wednesday to me.

I never wake up well rested anymore. I sleep up to 12 hours a day, and
the longer I sleep, the more hung over I feel. When I take my drugs in
the evening, I feel lost, tragic, they say it's like cocaine
withdrawal. Sleeping is how I deal with the misery until my drugs wear
off some. The rest of the time I work.
I taste things, hear things, and feel things in my dreams. I was
eating chocolate ice cream in a dream last night, and I woke up with
an acute sense of how the top and the center differed in texture and
taste. I often have this sense that my dream was more real than I can
remember. But these days I remember more than I used to.
Strange thing, life.
I usually sleep 4-5 hours a night and subsequently I wake up.
"Well rested"? What does that mean? I had a day off, once. I don't
recall when it was, but I have a clear memory of having had a day off.
What price, sanity? I can't afford it, life is difficult enough as
is.

The only senses I have in dreams are sight and hearing.
And, unlike waking life, I have no synesthesias.
