inauguration fantasies

after so many years of pointless destruction and killing, outrageous
greed, stupidity, lies, and other ridiculous nonsense and crimes, one
cannot help but indulge oneself with inauguration fantasies.

here's one of my personal favorites:

the moment the swearing in is completed, interrupting his cocky
grinning, Bush is swiftly cuffed, dragged off the stage and briskly
led to a cherry-top police cruiser where a burly officer does that
ever-so-gentle guiding-criminal's-head-into-the-backseat thinger.

Barrack makes a calming announcement and the Obamas then head off to
the ball and start dancing.

a brief mention of the arrest is made on all of the live cable news
feeds (with a very short five second video clip showing only the
highlights), and then the focus of all of the commentators and news
anchors on cable channels everywhere (except Fox) is then quickly
turned to the color and style of Michelle's dress, and her fashion
sense remains the major focus of the news for the next two to three
weeks, (or months) -- and barely a peep about Bush is ever heard again
until the verdict is read by a military tribunal.

LOL.

that would be beautiful.

and it would restore America to a place of honor amongst nations.

but we all know that's not gonna happen.

the laws don't apply to the most-harmful of law-breakers.

so we'll have to settle for our fantasies.

and our hopes for better days ahead.

It will probably remain a fantasy, but it will help me sleep at
night.
