I know it comes at the eleventh-and-a-half hour, but are you, or do
you know anyone who might be, interested in an
all-expenses-paid trip (4 months) across the country to shoot the moments,
high & low, of this incredible journey?
I spoke with Tom Jones last night, who wants this to happen, despite a lack of funds other than being able to cover the day-to-day expenses, and is willing to be generous as far as back-end coverage.
I've drafted a proposal that would ensure profit sharing and mechanical participation for whoever that adventurous soul might be. (It should be 7 gross points of all documentary distribution revenues, which could amount to about $50K by the time all the dust settles.)
I'll be writing copy, and visiting the procession periodically while on the road, and am committing my editing staff and facilities to the event, all on the same no up-front-funds basis.
Let me know if you are, or know anyone interested in what, I am sure, will amount to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Oh, and a digi-cam and stock will all be provided, as will food, vehicle, and sleeping accommodations.
The bad news: the run starts on July 4th.
This is a legitimate deal, go to www.charmfoundation.org or www.run4kids.org for verification.
If you're interested contact me direct at my e-mail address cre8...@webbynet.com, on ICQ 3762960, or on AOL Instant Messenger CreativeBrooke. But...you need to reach me by Monday, July 3rd, at the latest, so that I can put you in touch with my Sr. Producer, Carrie Jones.
Ms. Jones has arranged for cameraman to be in LA to cover the send off, so it would be best to be in touch in time to provide alternate coverage on the 4th, and get as much input as possible.
I know this may sound more than a little sketchy, but I was only pulled into this in the last couple of days, and there isn't much more than a shoestring to work off at present; all funds have been dedicated to support for the run itself.
Here's hoping that someone knows of an adventurous soul out there.
