can someone help me find kevin reynolds (fandango, robin hood,
waterworld) address or his agent's address? union has no listing for
him, and we haven't had any luck on our own.

thanks,

since Reynolds is an active fimmaker, you could try the DGA Agency Dept.
they should know who his agent is...

Mr. Reynolds may have changed representation by now, but last I knew he was
repped by Jim Crabbe at William Morris.

By the way -- you might be interested in Mr. Reynolds' best film to date --

The 96 DGA membership directory also lists WM, but says he's with Mike
Simpson there. So unless he's moved in the last few months, that's where
you'll find him, with one of the other of those agents.

i would have thought so, but i already called dga and they didn't have
a listing for him. strange... i did get his prod company address from
someone on the ng, so i'll give that a try. thanks very much.

I wholeheartedly agree. The Beast is far better than any of his other
films (with Fandango a respectably distant second). I wish he would
abandon these big budget epics and get back to the mesmerizing
filmmaking he created with The Beast.

yes, i got both several addresses and a phone number. my partner spoke
to his 'assistant' and she was (as expected) rude and hung up on him.
i guess reynolds isn't as 'approachable' as we thought. just don't
know why everyone in hw thinks they have to be nasty to anyone who
tries to contact them. there are customers who i sometimes feel i'm
wasting my time talking to, but it's just common courtesy, and i
always worry that if i don't treat them right today, they may be in a
position tomorrow to do me harm. i guess hw people just don't care
about things like that. god help me if i ever get so that i treat
people like some of the agents, "assistants" and others in hw have
treated us.

Reynolds' assistant could've been having a bad day. Reynolds could've
been having a bad day that he took out on his assisant, so she took it out
on your partner. Keep in mind that one of the assistant's main jobs is to
screen calls for the boss. Also keep in mind that if the assistant
decides early on that you're a jerk, you're NEVER gonna get through.

you're right -- mr. reynolds' assistant's job is to screen calls --
but her job ISN'T to be rude. i can assure you, my partner isn't a
jerk... he's a very polite person who doesn't deserve to be treated
that way, even by someone who's having a "bad day" (seems these people
are _always_ having a bad day, btw!) my wife is a talent agent, and
she gets about a hundred calls a day from people who don't have a
clue, but i can assure you, she never, NEVER would hang up on someone
simply because she's not interested. there's such a thing as common
courtesy, and it's just as valid in calif as it is here in texas, imo.
i'm sure you're correct, there are some very nice people in hw... i
guess we just haven't run into them yet. :-)
