My favorite review so far has come from my nephew, who's a big gamer
and anime' fan, and is pretty much the target audience for this film
(which I also saw, yesterday evening):
"It's pretty much just Dances With Wolves, but with Smurfs. Dances
With Smurfs, then."
The 3D looked pretty cool, but I saw it in DLP and was stuck in the
very front row, so for all the incredible resolution of the
groundbreaking computer generated images, it looked a lot like a big
screen TV. And the production design looked like it was scotch-taped
together from previous films - many of them Cameron's previous
efforts.

Get your mom an upgrade.
W : )
It's been tried. She doesn't go online herself, or really use the
computer for much of anything aside from occassional word processing
and spreadsheeting. For anything online, like plane reservations or
setting up a cruise or whatever, she goes over to my brother's place
and lets him do it. My sister helps out with her real estate
business, and occassionally uses mom's antiquated system just because
it's there in the office. Other than that, mom's house is pretty much
a technology-free zone, and she likes it that way.
My husband is the same way. I cannot pry the Win95 box out of his
hands.
He goes over to the Big Mac to look at modern things :)
