Where do you all find the original posts? I don't have the original posts so

He is also not Gillespie, I think, that person has better typing.
Not Sheriff Mike, either.
Of course, that anon service has has severe problems here.
I was listed as site of the week on it and it was never e-mailed to me,
is this anon service only for posting to newsgroups?
Like any other logging attempt, this is a Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment, so be warned.

Thanks for giving me a clean slate! That's just what I need, because I
think I want to be a roadgeek again! Yay! And please be more like Mike, he
was funny. Either that or give it back to Mike. I like that negative

Today's "Thanks for Sharing Award" goes to the original post.

Sadly, this attempt at an mtrlog is poor, and will never match the quality
and the humour of the original.

A) It's lame Give It up!
B) Your typing errors makes my typing look like a professional
C) Did I mention that it sucked...oh I just did now
D) It's hard as hell to read.
E) What are you trying to do kiss the proverbial ass of the newsgroup..if so
you are doing a very poor job at it.
F) Does anyone care about your personal problems at home?
G) Let me answer that for ya...."uhhhhhhhhh NO!"
H) Get back to me when you are more creative

and finally

I) pha pha phaaaaa

I have to disagree with you on that one. Maybe it's lines such as
"at the KC zoo when the gorillas all decide to start throwing
feeces at each other" that I find so endearing.

The deliberate spelling errors need to be more randomized to be
believeable, though.

Never met a meta-medium that I didn't like.

that his name is Jeff K, and he has a few similarities to the famous

Someone who called himself "Disco Sean"; it was about 5.55 pm that

It's CURRENTLY only on irvingnet.net. However, that chat room sucks,
so don't go there. Back when they had the split, xnet.net was a bit
better. On irvingnet, everybody hates me, and I usually wind up
getting into big flame wars with the ops (who are 3,000,000 times
ruder on #roadgeek than they are on here; on Irvingnet, there have
been discussions about PORN (I am not making this up)). I strongly
advise you NOT go to #roadgeek right now. If they split again, Xnet
might be a bit more hospitable for you.

The truth of the matter is that you can only talk so much about roads, and
in the process, you realize that the chatters have more interests than just
roads. Among the branches of discussion that have evolved are politics and
fantasy hockey.

I don't mind talking about non-road topics, since roads can eventually
get limited. I don't mind any of the other topics. I rarely ever go
there any more, however, partly because I don't like discussions about
magazines that make Playboy look like Guideposts. (Maybe they don't
happen much when you're around. These usually occur when there are
very few people in the chat.)

>

Don't tell Chris Sampang that. :-)

I might come back on in the near future or I might not. Depends on how
well I can block out a few annoying chatters. The truth of the matter
is, a few of the chatters on #rg (who will remain unnamed) bully me
for no reason except the fact that they're losers and have nothing
better to do. Also, I really don't like getting into flame wars, and
that's what happens EVERY time I get on #rg, and I don't start them.

Maybe I need to start my own roadgeek chat (JUST KIDDING).

Alex,

MTV's 'Undressed' is not porn. Then again you prolly get offended from
looking at the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

I fear your future years in college; boy, you're gonna get beat up a lot.

Wait, you mean Alex thinks MTV's "Undressed" is porn? Oh, geez, I'd
love to see his reaction when he lives in a dorm room with 3-4 other
college guys and sees what *real* porn is! If my college roomates
were any indication, his head will explode with all the 'mature'
videos & literature, drinking and swearing that happens in most major
colleges...

You're doing great if everyone hates you. Means you're picking on the right

It will give you more material for the future.

Or one of my roommates in my senior year at SVC, who, everyweek it seemed,
had a new porno to show us after WWF Raw was on. Also, this is the same guy
who cooked napalm in his crockpot (I am not lying). Alex would not survive

Hell Suite B1 at RMC..we would be waken up to 'The Power Hour of Porn" by
one of my suitemates who would leave it on when we went to class.

Hell, he'd get upset by the NCAA Football Seasons we played all the

I never said MTV'S "Undressed" was porn. There have been a few times
when your chat room got onto topic that are a lot worse than MTV's

intolerant of people who aren't exactly like you.

I hope everyone re-reads the above statement. Apparently Mr. Alex is
blaming Mr. Prince for forcing him to participate in a flame war which,
sans force, Alex would have never joined in. Alex, no one is holding a
gun to your head -- people participate in flame wars BY CHOICE. Trust
me.

> Nobody supports me even tho I have said very few insulting

Another gem from Mr. Harris. So, you're saying the rest of us mtr'ers
around the world -- some thousands of miles away from you -- FORCED
you to spew insults?

Take responsibility for your own actions. And take responsibility for
who you are -- if you think MTV's "Undressed" is porn, fine, that's
your own opinion... but be forwarned that you would be in a very
tiny minority there.

If you're a teenager and you act immature on a newsgroup frequented
by adults, know that some will take you to task for it. But please do
not blame the world for your own actions or lack of maturity.

Thanks for reading,

I see this flame war has made it into the MTR Log.

I will also be dropping out of this thread soon. This is the last post
I will make to this thread. If I reply to anything Adam Prince or
anybody else says, they're probably just getting what they want (an
angry reply out of me), so if I don't reply they'll shut the heck up.

By the way, I'm not going back to #roadgeek for a long time (until
there's another split, if there ever is another split) because #rg
sucks. So there. Sorry to any friends I have on there (including TEXAS
and BanditNA), but I don't want to go to a place where 1. an op bugs
me and kicks me off and 2. then changes his nickname so I can't ignore
him with the software. Sorry, but a few unnamed ops on there act like
4-year-olds, and (like I mentioned) my mom was shocked that one in
particular (who shall once again remain unnamed) was not a teenager.

Sorry about causing the flame war. Next time I tell anybody not to go
to #rg, I'll do it by e-mail. :-)

And, note to Jeff K from the MTR log: Adam Prince is not a teenager.

I have a very bad temper. I don't like it when people make fun of me.
I don't go to this newsgroup to be made fun of. I go to this newsgroup
to contribute to the roadgeek world and to have road-related
discussions. Most of your messages are nothing but insults (very
funny, well-thought-out ones, but still insults). So, who's always
spewing insults? It ain't me.

I never said "Undressed" was porn. In fact, I expressly said Undressed
was NOT porn. Please read my posts more carefully as well.

If you're an adult and you act immature on a newsgroup frequented by
adults, you'll become the most popular poster in the world. Especially
if you make fun of people who disagree with you. Adam Prince and
company are not acting like adults, either, and they ARE adults. So,
please get on their case as well.

I feel like Bugs Bunny in that everybody is against me, and for no
reason. I'm not acting that mature, but neither are they. And they
were being immature first. (MTRLOG: Make sure to quote the first five
words of this paragraph for maximum humor value.)

You seemed to have missed my point. My point wasn't that you should
participate in a flame war to a certain point or for a certain amount
of time, rather that you need to take responsibility for your own
actions, good or bad. Simply dropping out of a flame war doesn't
accomplish anything to that end.

Okay, a lot of people do. Are you trying to control it? Or are you
using it as an excuse to insult people on this newsgroup?

> I don't like it when people make fun of me.

Nor do I, but if you don't like when people make fun of you should
you then turn around and call them names? THAT is one of the things
that annoys many of us. In the same breath you bemoan how you've
been treated then call someone "stupid."

> I don't go to this newsgroup to be made fun of. I go to this newsgroup
> to contribute to the roadgeek world and to have road-related
> discussions.

Then why are you even participating in this discussion? (Yeah, you've
stated these are your last few posts in this thread...but up until now?)
Just like ignoring "Tom/Gillespie from Ohio/Florida" and he'll go
away -- if you ignore anyone who calls you names, you won't give them
fodder to use against you. And we can all talk about roads and highways.

> Most of your messages are nothing but insults (very
> funny, well-thought-out ones, but still insults). So, who's always
> spewing insults? It ain't me.

Nothing but insults? Please re-read my comments -- I've been trying
to offer you some constructive criticism or make observations for the
most part. Throughout this thread, I have never once called you
"stupid" for example, yet you have. It *is* you!

> I feel like Bugs Bunny in that everybody is against me, and for no
> reason.

Here's a reason: you're calling people "stupid."

> I'm not acting that mature,

There's another reason.

> but neither are they.

If everyone else here jumped off a cliff, would you?

> And they were being immature first.

There's yet another reason. Please listen closely: WHO CARES WHO WAS
BEING IMMATURE FIRST. Immature people have existed for centuries...
millenia, even! Does that make it alright for you to continue to do
so? Or should you learn how to be a more mature person like the rest
of us had to at some point. When you're 80 there will still be immature
people -- does that mean you'll be immature too? I hope not!

> (MTRLOG: [...])

Please stop obsessing over this.

wait don't you have the goal of wanting to be in the 'new' mtrlog2 for each
edition...

i think it would be 'the ultimate roadgeek goal' (tounge firmly planted in

I absolutely love it - so much that I downloaded a copy to read
off-line.

I wasn't around in the time of MTR Log #1, and when I read it now I
have no idea what he was going on about. Keep it going, keep it clean,
and keep off the dwarves :-).

BTW, it started in May, but it's only "back" now (3 Aug). Why the
wait.
