Thanks for the link, but if you read this, the headline is very
incorrect. First, the vehicle is a go-cart, not an automobile.
Second, people have been racing hydrogen powered cars for years.
There is currently a very active competition for the hydrogen
powered land speed record. Ohio State students set that record
a few years ago at the salt flats in Utah, The BMW took the
record over in Europe. Now, Jesse James, of West Coast Choppers
and Monster Garage fame, ran a hydrogen powered car faster than
the BMW car, but due to a timing glitch, was not awarded the
speed record. What this story is talking about is the very
first go-cart gran prix race to be run in the city Rotterdam.
The interesting thing about cars is that there is very little
that is really new. Many people are astounded to learn that
companies were selling successful electric cars over 100 years
ago. Yet today, they are saying that it cannot be done on a
wide scale. Maybe they need to find some 100 year old engineers.
