$250-million? Heck, I think they're past the $4-Billion mark in the ten-year
"extended life" program. Typically lies of the highway crowd.

I suspect that even with eminent domain and eminent domain prices, they'd be
well past the Billion mark just for Brooklyn Heights property acquisition.
And with new park and hotel and residential use along the waterfront, the
local opposition is only getting stronger.

The only way they're going to "fix" the BQE is to bury it, like they did in
Boston's "Big Dig." And I doubt that's economically feasible.
