Has anyone noticed that US 136 has a very visible INTERSTATE 136
shield on Google Maps? Check it out: http://goo.gl/maps/Ffz3

Looks like someone at google goofed when making the map and applied
the wrong shield to the road. FWIW, I-136 (sic) appears to be Main St
in Unionville, MO on google maps...

And there's the option of driving either I-74 or "I-136" east from
Danville, IL to Indianapolis, IN:)

Yes I have, I've e-mailed Google, and they said I was right. That was
a couple of weeks ago. But they haven't fixed that or the other errors
I pointed out at the same time.

It took a couple of months after I got the notice that I was right for
the change to appear (and I never got an email about that, so don't
know exactly when it was done). But it was changed, and those taking
the 4x4 Silver Canyon Road up from Bishop to the Ancient Bristlecone
Pine Forest will no longer be confused about the old trail vs new road
(which feels a lot like an old trail when your SUV is overheating and
slipping up the very steep gravel) :-)
