This coincides with several posts made about pictures, web sites, and me
made since I've been back. I'll list what I took by state and any
interested party can e-mail me personally and I'll scan those selected
pictures and e-mail them out (just give me a couple of days though, please.)

Ohio

Old right of way of US 30 east of Williamstown (looking west, road closed

highway web page) looking west (side note - this is at intersection of
Lincoln and Dixie Hy., thou no picture confirming this)
Highway crossroad sign with Lincoln and West St. Both are black on white
Business Route 30 sign with Lincoln highway sign underneath it
Ohio welcome arch on I-70 looking east (towards Ohio)

enhancement)

The retrograding of US 30 :-), actually looking east on US 30 at the dirt
grading for widening the highway (allot of dirt with guide wires showing the
sides of the road with a road closed sign on it)
Looking west on US 30 at the same thing mentioned in the statement above.
Sign welcoming, "Your Bank Americard here," at a restaurant.
Exit sign for US 169 (noting the *font* and black outline around the
shield.).

Soft clay/soil cliffs north of I-80 (between Cheyenne & Laramie).
Picture of (in order) Union Pacific track, Old Lincoln Highway, I-80.

A very distant Plateau surround by flat land (makes it stick out like a sore
thumb).
2 distant pictures of the Medicine Bow propellers (I'm sure Andy Field knows
they're actually called)
Truss bridge, on the north side of I-80, a Lincoln Highway bridge (over the
North Platte?)?
2 pictures of US 30 & 287 looking east back towards Laramie (just east of
Bosler?).
2 pictures of some rock hills (lack of vegetation, just splotches of trees)
Line of building clouds over flat land (with some heavy duty power lines and
towers in the foreground)
Distant group of snow cover mountains (Laramie Mts. or were they clouds?)

other ideas you want to try out), you can reach me at bt...@bright.net .

Hey, this is high production cropland :-) Actually, a telling picture
is on Dale Sanderson's page (accessible from my site). There is a
picture there of the tri-state corner of Nebraska, Colorado, and
Wyoming. Landowners in Colorado and Nebraska have nothing planted
there, while the Wyoming farmer has crops growing right against the
State Line. The soil here is not as good for farming as it is further
east, but it's better than the Red Desert!

Not sure what this is. Was it before or after Cheyenne? How far away
was it?

Probably Telephone Canyon.

Did you take old US 30 between Pine Bluffs and Cheyenne? It is much
more indirect, and connects the small agricultural towns such as Archer
and Burns. I am not even sure if the original road is still paved.

Where is this?

I'm not sure of the exact name, but they are windmills that generate
electricity. There's an interesting story behind those windmills that I
can't remember clearly right now, but I will look in my Wyo history book
and see if there's something about that in there.

I have a picture of this on my site, courtesy of Mike Ballard. Was the
bridge near a rest area exit between Rawlins and Walcott Junction? I
would like to see what perspective you had on the bridge.

Wow, you remembered the name Bosler. I'm impressed!

> 2 pictures of some rock hills (lack of vegetation, just splotches of trees)

Maybe Pine Bluffs? Or any of the hills surrounding the Red Desert
basin?

> Line of building clouds over flat land (with some heavy duty power lines and

Pretty common scene in Wyoming.

Cool. I have no pictures of this, yet it defines the drive on I-80
between Laramie and Walcott.

I believe this is related in some way to the communications along the
railroad -- some sort of telephone transformer or something like that.
Anyone else have any ideas? They are fairly evenly spaced along the
railroad. When I lived in Green River, Wyoming, I remember one
subdivision of that town had a plot of land that had one of these brick
buildings rather than a normal house! Pretty weird.

Sandor, I am very interested in all of your Wyoming pictures -- I would
post them on the I-80 Photo Guide, which is notably deficient in photos
from Southeastern Wyoming.

Please email me back and I'll provide you with a different email address
to which you can send these pictures. I would be happy to create a page
for your Nebraska pictures too, since there is no one out there with a
Nebraska highway list (and no, I am not planning on developing one
either!)

Regards,
Andy

The two I-74 photos would suit me just fine! :)

I don't want the speedway photo .. but I have no interest in it unless
it's a certain Saturday in August. ;-) I'm not into the pointy cars...
