possible toll extension of NC 147 to I-540.

Bad idea to make this a toll road IMO...there would be very little
off-peak usage, since everyone would know that you could just jump
onto I-40 east to get from Durham to I-540. Only when I-40 is
congested, which is only a rush hours, would people pay the toll.

Read the article...was disappointed to see folded diamond at NC 54...I'd
have preferred to see a SPUI...ditto for the NC 55 interchange as well.
However, the 540/Davis Drive interchange is great. ONE traffic
signal on Davis Dr. The interchange smacks of an NJTP interchange,
really :)

non-toll alternatives parallel to them. IMO this means the new, tolled
routes will really only serve commuter traffic, since everyone else
will mostly avoid having to pay to use the route.
