In checking the Website "http://www.ihoz.com/ilist.html", he mentions his
problems with I-74, I-80, I-99, and I-238.

I also read about three-digit spurs. But, I would like to comment on I-180 in
Illinois. We all KNOW that the HUGE CITY Hennepin, IL is big enough to have an
Interstate Spur route go into it, right?

What IS the population of Hennepin, IL anyway? Is it really big enough to have
an Interstate Spur for it?

Almost every roads page that I've read has mentioned that I-180 was built to
serve a major defense contractor that was located in Hennepin.
Additionally, this route is part of the "Chicago-Peoria Expressway" corridor
that may or may not be upgraded in the future.

This should be in the FAQs, if it isn't already.

I-180 in Illinois was built to serve the LTV Steel plant at Hennepin,
IL, which has been a major defense contractor.

The population of Hennepin, IL (1990 Census) is 669. Not surprizingly,
traffic on I-180 is very light.
