Hi Viatologists,

FYI to all WWTL visitors! All the photographs and videos shared
through Usenet use a temporary "picture frame" (technically speaking,
API wrapper). So, if you visit one of our announced photographs
videos a few months after it has been announced, you'll get a 404
error. I stress, your browser is not the culprit... (unless you
manually hack your browser to death in attempt to appear cool. not!)

In a nutshell, 404 errors mean the page you're looking for no longer
exists. To help guide you to what you're originally searching affter,
you'll be redirected to our main page where you can search through our
top-to-down menu... and yes, click on our ads. Capisce? :)

Cheers,

Everyone knows it's not the browser's fault, you moron. Whenever you
get a 404 error, it means either the hosting site is down, routing is
down, or some developer somewhere is incompetent. Everyone knows with
respect to the WWTL, 404s are due to your incompetence.

With respect to the WWTL, it means the web master is a web moron.

Why would anyone want to waste their time visiting such a pathetic,
mundane, and anhydrous site?

That's an incredible claim... Everyone on the planet knows what a 404
error is? What's more impressive, you made the unprecedented
accomplishment of asking over several billion people the question in
the past several minutes and cataloguing their answers. All the
answers were the same too, also incredible! Surely, the paperwork you
put together over the past few minutes and the micro-seconds you spent
asking everybody this question was a insurmountable feat of yours.
You are truly a genius.

> Everyone knows with
> respect to the WWTL, 404s are due to your incompetence.

How do you respond to the person who's in "offline" browser mode,
having accessed a page that were temporarily unavailable due to a DNS/
web-server migration, then clicked refresh? IE8 stays in offline mode
and shows the 404. So you claim the WWTL is responsible for the
browser remaining in offline mode and displaying the 404. You are
truly a genius.

Ask the people who contributed to the 75,000+ hits so far this month.
But heck... the innards of your narrow mind MUST match the brain
patterns of everyone else on the planet. Thanks for clarifying

Which is why you never publish and announce a temporary URL for
something permanent to your site through an archived medium.

Only if you plan on buying from the advertiser or are doing research

Thanks; I forgot about that whole "intellectual property" thing.

Of course, that the thread was started by caltor, I'm going to make
the excuse there is so little "intellectual property" to begin with.

Thank you for admitting that I am smarter than you. Not that the
admission required much; it's obvious based on your posting it doesn't
take much to exceed you in intellectual capacity.

For the record, when I stated "everyone", I meant "everyone who used a
web browser", not "everyone on the planet", moron. Learn to read.

These cases describe situations where someone involved in IT has
demonstrated a great deal of incompetence. Perhaps this is the norm
for your operations; it is not for mine.

The only thing you fit in to is the collection of willfully mentally
deficient individuals on this world who fall into a category I call
"retards."

ROTFLMAO. If I WAS going to create a web site, I would CERTAINLY find
more interesting and profitable subjects to do it on.

Just think; if (a) you had a clue what you were doing, and (b) your
content wasn't crap, you MIGHT actually be able to generate revenue.
Guess what; you, and your web site, are collosal failures, and that's
why you keep trying to drum up hits for that pathetic piece of crap
you've created.

Your site is a classic example in the "worst practices for web
applications" category; keep up the great work, loser!

Well, krl does think that IE is da bomb for some reason and designs
his site accordingly. Probablly explains why his, "ban on .jpg file
sharing," only works on IE (and not too well there either). Other
browsers let you right click and save all you want.

Right. My photos are Creative Commons. ONLY because the head wikipedos
couldn't understand the concept of public domain, and wouldn't let Adam
Moss use them in his articles without specific legal voudou approved by
me. As if I was going to sue the snot out of Adam for using a picture.
Hell, he needs all the $ he can get for batteries.

As far as my band snaps go, it's basically the same deal. Unlike the road
pictures, though; these actually provide me with tangible benefits: at least
of value to me, if no one else. In point of fact, I probably come away with
more of value-CD's, shirts, BEER!, and free admission in a month than CalSlug
comes up with in a year from his Gurgle ads. Whatever.

More important is the less tangible benefit; at least materially speaking:
People like to see me show up. They actually want me to, in fact. It's a pretty
good feeling when a band dedicates a song to you in a set; or when the DJ from
my favourite internet radio show wants me to say something on the mic-and I'm
not even in a band. No amount of $ in the world can buy goodwill; and that's
worth a great deal more to me than some 'intellectual property' claim.
