Molten Sulfur is loaded as a liquid and depending upon time and weather
conditions can solidify in transit. Most if not all unloading of Molten
Sulfur is done after the car is heated through the use of the tank cars
heater coils.

Most (the vast majority, I believe) is used to make sulfuric acid, used
for a zillion industrial applications. Sulfuric acid is manufactured more
than any other chemical. 70+% is used to make fertilizer.

Yes. I am not even sure if they are insulated.
