Before the ship's name, what does the letters M/T LPG/C mean?

It is most commonly spelled out as Liquefied Petroleum Gas. Under this
category you will find propane and butane in a variety of forms ( crude,
mix, isobutane and other forms ), and most often these ships are built
to carry Vinyl Chloride Monomer, which after polymerisation becomes PVC.

I think LPG/C refers to LIQUIFIED PETROLEUM GAS carrier with the LPG tank
type C.

If you were right about "C" being the tank type, I find it strange that ships
bearing the prefix LPG/C have very different tanks, depending the
refrigeration and/or pressurization of gas. Secondly, with no ducumentation to
back me up, I faintly remember the IMO tank types as I, II and III, NOT A, B,
and C,
Thirdly, /s are very common marine english usage when abbreviating, for
instance M/E for main engine and C/O for chief officer.

With his head on the block,

Kristian,
I guess you are right...I talk to my colleague (chartering dept) and they
refer LPG/C similar to M/T or M/V. However I am still curious about this
matter, I will try to get more concrete information.
