Yesterday, they announced that they dropped those plans due to "candid
feedback" from the customer base.
So it does look like passengers do value meals after all.
I have to wonder if UA saw a significant drop in bookings due to that
original announcement ?

JF, it seems to me that most business travelers have choices. And since the
non U.S. carriers offer a better level of service for the same money, why
would anybody put up with this?
