So far:
Airbus has 149 gross orders, 123 net orders this year.
Boeing has 170 gross orders, 79 net orders this years.
Apparently, 787 cancellations count for a lot of roughly 90
cancellations at Boeing.
Also, in case you didn't read about it. Singapore pushed back a 380
delivery from december 2009 to sometimes in january 2010. This will
reduce Airbus' total A380 numbers for 2009 down to 13.
Airbus has so far delivered 6 380s this year, and to reach 13, it would
have to deliver 7 in the next couple of months. Looks to me like the
Singapore "deal" may be spin for "Airbus can't meet its target for 2009
and there are delays in production". I have to wonder if delivering 7
A380s in 3 months is realistic.
I had read something a number of weeks ago that Airbus was only now
starting to put the 380 into "production mode" (I think they called it
phase II automation). A lot of the wiring is still apparently still
handmade in toulouse instead of using the german sites and that is about
to be fixed.
