What is the state Sales tax? Is it state-wide or by county?

Georgia has a progressive income tax rate that ranges from one to six
percent depending on your income and filing status. That state also has a
sales and use tax. Its rate is four percent statewide. I don't know if
local cities and counties have an additional sales tax, but I wouldn't be
surprised.
