I am trying to figure out how to allocate my original cost basis of
800 shares of Verizon stock, into a new cost basis of 800 Verizon and
192 Frontier Communications shares. I don't know exactly what date
and $$ to value the shares of either Verizon or Frontier.

Suggestions/help

Art:

Thanks, but that chart only covers cost basis through the Idearc
nonsense. I have the cost basis of Verizon after that time, not I
have to do the Frontier Communications mess as of July 1, or whatever
date is the official split.

Fantastic! Iit was the 94% to Verizon, 6% to Frontier Communications
reatio that I needed. Now I only have to apply that to the two
different flavors of Verizon that I own, due to getting the stock from
two different employee purchase plans from AT&T and related companies
many (5) decades ago.

Thanks for the guidance!!

Oh, I'd suggest just be patient, and Verizon will update
this website/worksheet. The thing is, by now they have
all the info they need, but have to run it by the legal
and financial folks before releasing it.
