I tried to connect to www.eftps,gov to make an estimated tax payment
yesterday, and all I got was timeouts. Same today, even though it's
too late to make a payment for today.

Anyone else able to get through lately?

Yeah, that's another URL for the same service. Can you get through to
it? I can't, under either name.

It works for me. What browser are you using? Sometimes when I have
a problem with a website chrome will get there when explorer won't
(though I don't have that problem with this site).

A trivial point, but the URL you have posted is

"www" "period" "eftps" "COMMA" "gov"

and if this was a cut-and-paste from the
browser window that was getting the timeouts,
maybe your browser was timing out while trying
to connect to a non-existent site?

Yes, that was a typo.

I figured it out -- I have an IPv6 tunnel set up that gives me an IPv6
address that appears to be in Montreal, and it didn't like that.

When I switched to IPv4, or used a proxy with a US IPv6 address, it
works. Go figure.

I have used EFTPS for years on Chrome. Now I cannot, WHY?

I'm using Chrome on MacOS, just tried it and it works fine.

Note the message you're responding to was from three and a half years
ago. They fixed the problem shortly after I sent it.

I hope you looked for www.eftps.gov and not www.eftps,gov.

(That wasn't the problem in 2013, that was a typo.)

Ha! That is what I get for clicking on a bad link, rather than my bookmark.

I get the site to come up ok, although I did not log in.
