Stepdaughter laid off in November 23, she has been using HR Block free file, (I've never dealt with declaring unemployment income) can she still use it? Thanks.

It appears that she can. She will get a Form 1099-G from the
state for the unemployment benefits. On the tax return it is
reported on Schedule 1 line 7. H&R Block's list of free
federal forms includes Schedule 1 and Form 1099-G for
unemployment. Here is a link to the H&R Block list.

Note that many states do not send the Form 1099-G in the
mail. If not, she will have to download it from the state
unemployment web site.
