Upon using the ladies room I noticed that the stool didn't
fill back up with water. I tried my faucets, no water. I
also noticed earlier today that my water pressure is really
low. I have well water with a water softener system. Does
anyone know what could be happening to my water system? Do
you think it is that balloon/bladder in my tank?

Valerie,
I had a similar thing happen to me. Just called the guy who did the well test
and he helped me diagnose it right over the phone. It was something to do with
a filter and not the bladder. Cheap to fix in my case. If you have a local
well/pump person, give them a ringy. Maybe they can help you out.
To rule out the bladder, all he had me do is go right to the well, turn on the
faucet closest to the well and whatch the pressure gauge. Mine was reading 45
and then it went up to 60. Perfect working order for my type of system. Good
luck hope it isnt anything to costly.

Have you checked the pump? If it is not shutting off you need to give
the pressure tank (ballon/bladder) a shot of air.

I checked the pump this morning, it's ok. The water also came back on
about a half an hour later. It's now running with it's normal pressure.
That's weird.

Maybe your well is running dry. Sorry to add a sour note.

Maybe, but it may be the same thing that happened to me earlier this year: the
capacitor in the well control box blew. I had the guy who installed my pump
check it, but mine was about a six buck part to replace, so you can pull it
yourself (SHUT OFF POWER TO THE SYSTEM FIRST) to see if it works cheaper than
you can hire someone to check it.
