I think the bibs have pretty well disappeared here in Nebraska.
Years ago, it was the bibs, a pocket watch, and a pair of CTs in the
official side pocket. My dad smoked. I don't remember where farmers
carried their cigarettes. Zippo lighter, of course.
It's blue jeans and t-shirts for the most part nowadays. A smart
phone is getting to be standard equipment.
The phones are a handy tool but some people don't come off looking
too good. People had time to cool off in the old days before calling so
they weren't as likely to make fools of themselves.
