Does the current iPhone work with Microsoft Outlook? What about the
current versions 2007 and 2010?

Do you have to use iTunes? Are there other programs that will
interface to add music, ringtones or photos?

Yes you can use Outlook or Express for your contacts. You're stuck with
Itunes unless you jailbreak it, then there are many choices.

Why do you have to carry a computer around to swap out the music on this
box? It's crazy in 2009 when the music could be much better put on a tiny
microSD card or cards you simply plug in.....say from your hotel room in
Tahiti when your computer is in Phoenix.

what makes you think people swap music while out and about? most people
don't even fill the space it has, so what would they be putting on the
extra cards??

How do you run iTunes to LOAD the iphone without a computer to run it on
when you want to swap out your files?? Where do you store these other
MP3 files external to the iPhone memory to load onto it.

You can't. It won't stream what most places PLAY!....REALmedia, WMA,
WMV, Flash. I think it will stream MP3, but also not OGG or FLAC or the
other open source streaming codecs....

The web streaming Quicktime you can list on one sheet of paper!

Here. Pop up KPIG in Freedom CA, one of my favorite crazy radio
stations. KPIG is what radio was meant to be....great fun.

Click on the link and play it on your fruitphoney.

Plays great on Nokia N800...in stereo!...on the SPEAKERS!

Try ICRT from Taiwan, too. Play ok?

I see KSEY has prostituted itself to the PoS:

Does the Iplayer work?
Cowboy music from Cowboy country! Seymour, TX....

you load the phone with music so you don't have to swap. most people
don't have all that much music on their phones.

there are plenty of apps that can pick up kpig and the other stations
you mentioned as well.

Oh, we ARE pullin hard, now. Having removeable cards give you an unlimited
library of music right in your pocket on tiny microSD cards. It also lets
you look at the pictures from your nice camera, not just the shitty
sellphone camera anywhere. Pop out the Rock card and pop in the Blues card
as your mood changes. No need to be stuck with only what will fit on
internal memory. But, you understand these realities....right?

Nonsense. I get bored very quickly with the music on a 16GB memory card on
a long trip. Without a computer, you can't change them, then it takes a
long time over USB to swap out 16GB to an iPHone.

To swap out 16GB of music for 16GB more music on any memory card capable
phone....takes 5 seconds once you figure out which of the hundred or so
cards you want to listen to.....Come on...get real!

You don't store all your music in the car on a fixed memory mounted in the
car radio.....why tolerate that nonsense on a phone when a much better
option is available?

except that the iphone already has more than enough memory than people
are actually using for music, so it already *is* essentially infinite.
if they're not filling up what they have, what possible advantage would
cards offer?

that's wonderful but most people don't have that problem. if you need
more space, the ipod touch can hold 64 gig and the ipod classic is 160
gig.

since the ipod in all its variations has over 70% market share, it's
obvious what most people want, and it's not messing with cards.

Yes. With any computer. Not just the one an iPhone is allowed to talk to.

Actually, today I did it via the web- used LogMeIn from my phone in a
hotel in Kansas City to remote control my desktop PC in Denver and dragged
my daughter's Hannah Montana Season 3 Soundtrack album to my PC's Live
Mesh account. Then I logged into Live Mesh from the phone, and pulled
down the album straight to the phone's 8GB card so she can listen to it
in the car tomorrow.

Perhaps true of music, but certainly not video. My wife is constantly
bugging me to switch out the movies on her 8GB iPhone so she has fresh
content when traveling. At 400-500MB per flick, I'm not sure any amount
of memory is "adequate."

I have an SD card reader attached to my car HU - it has a 2gb card in it
I swap files to and fro with my PC whenever I feel the need and the same
with my iphone. The only time I've felt the need for more than the 2GB
is when I go on hols then I load up a couple of extra cards for good
measure.

I accept that some people will want to carry dozens of SD cards and swap
them out as the mood takes them but I don't. The least you can do is
accept that I and millions of others are very happy with our iphones and
swapping out music as desired when we synch, update our contacts,
calender, pics, ringtones and apps.

Would I like an SD card slot on my iphone? Sure why not, if it could
make a decent cup of tea even better. Would I swap it for your Nokia?
Not on your nelly Larry.

I have ALL my music on my IPhone, but don't do any swapping. I'm stuck
in the 60's and pretty much have all the oldies I'll ever want. When I find
stuff to add, I sit down at my computer and add it.
