You'll need to ask a better question. It's hard to figure out just what
you are asking from the way you phrased it.

after receiving the images sent from iphone 5s all have the same description "FullSizeRender.jpg" they do not have the serial numbers and so to save them in a folder I have to change all the names.

How were they sent precisely, and which app did you use?

> all have the same
> description "FullSizeRender.jpg"

Are you trying to say that multiple attachments in a single email all
have the same *filename* of "FullSizeRender.jpg"? Again, I have to
wonder how exactly you composed this email and sent it.

> they do not have the serial numbers

Image attachments don't normally have serial numbers. So I have no ida
what you are talking about here.

> and so to save them in a folder I have to change all the names.

What email software and operating system are you using to receive them?

May be would be easier to explain if I send you an email with the attached sample pictures directly from my iphone?

Okay. Go ahead and send it and I'll take a look.

It turns out you're right: that's what he was talking about.

Sixnine:

Those attachment names are obtained from the photos themselves. Like
most digital cameras, iOS assigns serial numbers to the names of photos.
And also like digital cameras, you are not allowed to change the names
on the device itself. Similarly, you’ll have to copy the photos to
another place (like another application on the device such as
"Documents" or "Air Sharing" or similar, your computer, DropBox, or
another suitable location) where changing names is allowed.

Gentlemen, I understand everything, but the problem is that the images in iphone iOS are labeled correctly (they have a number as IMG_3335.JPG etc.) only after their transmission through Mail.app change the name of this number at FullSizeRender.jpg.
And all the images are named the same.

Could the renaming happen at the receiver's end?

What version Mac OS X are you using?

And what version of Mail are you using?

it is an issue with the iDevice - please notify Apple via feedback to fix the bug. it names them ALL this way - just spoke to Apple myself and they recreated this and called it "working as expected" but saw how it is an issue.

Had the same issue. Son fixed it!! Tap the three circles on bottom right screen of the photo app.

On the next screen make sure the filter is set on "none", you will find it in the middle.

Son also state when those three circles are colored, it is indicating a filter is on!!

Hope it helps!!

Yes!! Thank your son. Such an easy solution. Just tested and it works fine when taking pictures in "None" setting and forwarding them to laptop with the mail function on my 5.

New I phone 6 If do ANY edit in the camera app, even crop and send it as a large file, ( I have not tested on small files yet ) It renames the image ;fullsizerender, this is definitely a Bug needing to be fixed. I need to test editing in a different app as well.
