HDR mode can no longer be turned off on newer iPhone models. WTF?

My sister-in-law just moved from an iPhone X to an iPhone 13. One reason
she upgraded was for the better cameras. But the HDR mode on the iPhone
13 results in photos that are way too processed.

I told her to just turn off HDR or to keep both the HDR photo and the
normal photo. I looked at my Xr's settings and told her where the HDR
mode setting is located and sent her a scree shot of what the setting
should be <https://i.imgur.com/oQYczxI.jpeg>.

She went into settings to turn off HDR mode, but that setting is
missing. I thought that maybe it was moved somewhere else, so I began
searching for an answer, and found an answer that I didn't want at
<https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253217799>

Apparently Apple has remove capability to turn off HDR pn photos from
newer iPhones. Weird. You can turn HDR off for video though.

The various suggestions to correct this issue are interesting, but
should not be necessary
<https://www.iphonetricks.org/iphone-13-photos-blurry-low-quality-fix/>.

Why on earth would they have removed this setting?

I added it to the document as #122 on pages 47-48, see

One huge advantage of Android over the iPhone (other than the cameras almost
always being better than the cameras in even the most expensive iPhones)
<https://www.dxomark.com/rankings/#smartphones-mobile>
is that you can easily add the excellent Google GCam port to most Androids.

The GCam port allows you a _ton_ of rather useful camera settings, one of
which is the _choice_ of "HDR+" or not while even my basic Samsung camera
app on my free A32 5G has a choice for "Auto HDR" to be on or off.

Even the FOSS "Open Camera" app has a setting for "Save all images for HDR
mode = yes/no" and "HDR contrast enhancement = off/smart/always"
"If enabled, when using HDR photo mode, the three base exposure images
will be saved as well as the final HDR photo. Note this will make saving
slower, especially if options like Stamp Photos or Auto-Level
are also used."

Can the iPhone save all the images separately that comprise the HDR image?

What's interesting is how apologists like Lewis are oblivious to the facts.
*Apple iPhone camera quality of results is _often_ not even in the top ten*

Rarely (actually almost never) is an iPhone even in the top three in QOR.
Everyone who knows anything about smartphone camera QOR knows these facts.

Like a broken record, Arlen continually repeats himself because he has
no original thoughts. Pathetic troll.

Actually I've learned about Apple MARKETING after studying you weirdos.

a. You apologists love having your eyes gouged out by Apple, for example.
(You gloat at how much money Apple makes in profit off you.)
(You just can't make that kind of profit off of intelligent people.)

b. You only use iOS as what it is, which is as a mere toy operating system.
(You don't even realize how crippled iOS is because it's a toy to you.)
(You have utterly no concept of what an adult operating system can do.)

c. Your only response to facts about Apple is to berate the messenger.
(You literally _hate_ Apple for building an OS that is so crippled.)
(In this case, you _hate_ that the camera QOR sucks compared to Android.)

I can list plenty of other "jim-jones' wacko" revelations about you weirdos.
{Lewis, Jolly Roger, Alan Browne, Your Name, nospam, Alan Baker, et al.}

*The simplest is that you never seem to have any _adult_ response to facts.*
Facts like the fact Apple rarely even makes it into the best camera QOR.

Why is that?
*It's because your _entire_ Apple belief system is based on mere clever ads*
Apple merely _says_ camera QOR is great & you believe all they feed you.

Without even a _single_ underlying fact supporting Apple's MARKETING ads.

Fundamentally, the reason you _hate_ all facts about Apple products is
simply that there isn't even a _single_ underlying fact underlying the
entirety of your belief system.

I thank all of you apologists for teaching me the power of Apple MARKETING.

The only thing supporting your belief systems are the clever Apple ads.

"ApPlE mArKeTiNg" tropes, proving my point. *YAWN* What a boring,
pathetic troll.

I learned a lot from you weirdos just as I learn how ignorant both the
anti-vaxers & vaxers are (they've based their beliefs on what others feed
them - usually by clever politicians who polarize people for profit).

It's the same with iPhone camera QOR.
Apple feeds you ignorant apologists whatever Apple wants you to believe.

Just as nobody has ever reproduced Apple's outlandish battery life claims,
nobody can reproduce Apple's outlandish camera quality of result claims.
