This won't help you but I got my general license when I was 60, using
mostly information I learned when I was 12 and studying for my license
then. I didn't even review it but stuff you learn when you're young
sticks with you**. Back then, I couldn't do code over 5 wpm, but they

I took the practice test this morning without studying a single thing and
got 30 where you only need something like 29 out of 35 to pass so I'd pass
anyway, but we're having a competition among friends of who can pass
without zero incorrect answers so that's the reason for the tests.

The ones I got wrong were those related to regulations (e.g., transmitting
out of the country or FAR 97 codes, but the bulk of it was easy stuff like
decibels, milliWatts, circuits, CCW, antennas, squelch, etc.) which
everyone knows off the top of their head.

The practice tests are just so that we can compete with each other on score
where I'm looking for a practice test the others don't know about yet. :)

The whole HAM license thing is, IMHO, getting easier over time.

Not only have they eliminated Morse Code requirements but they've dropped
the number of licenses from something like five or so to just
- Technician Class
- General Class
- Amateur Extra Class
