* Chairman of Videocon, Mr Dhoot, among those killed in aircrash

Bombay, april 26 (pti) the chairman of the videocon
group of companies mr nandlal dhoot and his brother-in-law mr
a v joshi who is the president of the group, were among the 52
passengers killed in the plane crash at the chikalthana
airport in aurangabad today.
mr dhoot boarded the flight at aurangabad, while joshi
had emplaned at jaipur, indian airlines sources here said
tonight.
of the fifty seven persons, including four crew members
who survived, twelve were critically injured and they would be
flown in here by a relief flight late tonight for their
hospitalisation in the city, the sources said adding nine
others including two cabin crew were reported missing.
the boeing 737 delhi-jaipur-udaipur-aurangabad flight
with 112 passengers and six crew crashed after take-off from
the airport at 1300 hours.

aurangabad, apr 26 (pti) fifty-five bodies of passengers
were recovered and two others missing when an indian airlines
boeing 737 crashed after taking off from aurangabad with 118
people on board, of whom 61 survived miraculously.
the ic 491 plane on a hopping flight on the
delhi-jaipur-udaipur-aurangabad-bombay route crashed within
minutes of take off from here.
according to eyewitness reports the plane dashed against
a stationary truck while taking off. then it hit a high
tension wire and caught fire at its rear portion before
crashing about seven kms away.
the indian airlines headquarters, in delhi first said
that 83 persons were feared killed. later they put the figure
at 80 and then brought it down to 75.
the airlines confirmed 55 deaths and said two were
missing. of the 61 survivors, 12 were hospitalised.
there were 112 passengers and six crew members on board.
earlier, the airlines released a list of 34 passengers
and 4 crew members, including captain s n singh and co-pilot
ms monisha mohan who were rescued. later the airlines relased
another list of five more passengers.
eyewitness reports said, the plane skidded a few
kilometres on its belly and burst into flames before breaking
into three pieces.
