YouTuber Trevor Jacob sentenced to 6 months in prison after deliberate
plane crash in California

YouTuber Trevor Jacob has been sentenced to six months in federal
prison following a 2021 plane crash in California that the Federal
Aviation Administration has claimed the pilot purposely caused.

Last June after reaching a plea agreement, Jacob pleaded guilty to a
charge of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a
federal investigation, which would have carried up to a 20-year prison
sentence.

We as a culture created these incentives. This is the world we made.

Berked Breathed foresaw this kind of thing back in the 80s in his comic
Bloom County. Don't remember exactly, but someone (Opus?) had an
overturned lawn mower, blades spinning, and a video camera, waiting to
film someone getting hurt.

He did not consider consequences...,

YouTuber who crashed plane admits he did it for money and views
...
...
A former Olympic snowboarder and experienced pilot and skydiver, Jacob
hatched his scheme to allegedly deliberately crash his plane on
November 24, 2021, after securing a sponsorship and agreeing to
promote a company's wallet in a video. The company has not been named,
and there is no mention of wallets in the video titled "I Crashed My
Airplane" that's still viewable on YouTube.

Maybe you did, but I sure had nothing to do with this. I've been
anti-youtube since the beginning.

``We'' did nothing. Google did this.

"We" created a world in which destroying a $150,000 airplane might show a
profit.

Google or YouTube is just the vehicle for presenting the show to the
suckers/losers.

1940 Taylorcraft B
LYCOMING 0-145B SERIES

The aircraft was described by sources at Lompoc Airport as "in need of
major maintenance."

No more than radio, TV, books, etc., have been the past. One example,
that ongoing media show for that Orange Jesus.

Okay, I thought it was a C-180. My error.

Change the value to 35 - 60 K then, it still flew well enough to be a
victim of greed.

During Company Towns: 1880s to 1935
https://socialwelfare.library.vcu.edu/programs/housing/company-towns-1890s-to-1935/
corporations discovered having sports would shift the workers'
thinking away from the company, unless things got really bad.

When people have fewer diversionary activities, they find ways, like
reading, to eliminate doing nothing. It's been suggested when books
became available for all to read, more people spent time reading.

Today, sports is mainstream is US schools, down to elementary schools,
and I suspect a case could be made to suggest the emphasis on sports
assists in the dumbing of Americans.

Internet is mostly a tool for gratificaion these days, not
educational. It too assists in the dumbing of Americans.
