Having unlimited retirement funds will not make you happier.
Medical world, years ago, used the "second honeymoon" expression to
connote that after some six months, they go stir crazy (bored).
Someone I know retired early and moved to Molokai from LA...as he
said, it was an "adjustment." It's like living in a rural area where
you go to town once a week.
Those retired RVers, yeah, they go from one RV campsite to another.
Meeting new people, over and over, if they choose. Whoopie, it gets
old.
A person should have meaningful activities of daily living, but if
your budget is thin, this tends to reduce what can be done in
retirement.
