I just read that American Teachers are using Singapore Math Books
instead of American books. Just google it, but it appears that it is
easier to learn math and it only uses SI, no Imperial. America falls
behind further again.

You might be interested in this reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore_Math_Method
as the Singapore approach to mathematics teaching in the USA might be
quite widespread.
