Editor, Register-Mail: Someday, I suppose we'll find out just how the
vetting process for Kamala Harris went. Because, as she worked her way
up to California Attorney General, she did a lot of very bad things to
get poor, mostly Black people INTO prison. As detailed in the New York
Times Jan. 17, 2019, Lara Bazelon article: “Kamala Harris Was Not a
‘Progressive Prosecutor.’ ” “Time after time, when progressives urged
her to embrace criminal justice reforms as a district attorney and then
the state’s attorney general, Ms. Harris opposed them or stayed silent.
Most troubling, Ms. Harris fought tooth and nail to uphold wrongful
convictions that had been secured through official misconduct that
included evidence tampering, false testimony and the suppression of
crucial information by prosecutors.” The article goes on and on.

And so do Innocence Project volunteers Josh Dubin and Jason Flom, on Joe
Rogan podcast #1521, which you can find on YouTube. These guys, often
successfully, using science, facts, and persistence, keep the wrongfully
accused from going to prison, or get them OUT of prison. Go to 51 min.
28 sec. in. Josh Dubin says that “Even she would be an improvement, if
Biden does pick her, but it would take this podcast and four more, to go
through … she fiercely fought for wrongful convictions, and was shamed
by judges, when she was district attorney for San Francisco. In the
George Gage case, her prosecutors hid evidence.” And there’s so much
more. What if she continued that corrupt policy as PRESIDENT? That
worries me. “Innocenceproject.org" — Jerry Ryberg, Galesburg
