Hi

My family just relocated to the Wheaton/Glen Ellyn area (Chicago
suburb) and are currently in temporary housing in a townhouse.
Anyway, my kids and I are a little stir crazy and was wondering if any
moms out there in the area could suggest playgroups, kids activities,
etc. for a 3 and 5 year old (girl and boy), I would love to hear from
you. So far we've discovered the library and DuPage Children's Museum
and I can't bear the thought of too-frequent visits to McDonalds
Playplace or ChuckECheese... Plus my son (5yr) is really missing his
friends and preschool - he just started preschool here too but has only
been there a few times. Also, I'm expecting my third child and am
trying to adjust from working mom (part time) to stay at home full time
mom and figure ways to keep my kids entertained, not fighting (ha!) and
involved in things without pushing the envelope too much. Any
suggestions or playgroup info in the area would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the area. Wheaton is a wonderful place to be. There are so many forest preserves, parks, zoo etc in the area that you don't have to worry about McDonald's until you are hungry. Check out http://wheaton.macaroinikid.com for all the events that are happening in your area. There are articles/blogs etc for more suggestions!

Good luck!
